Event description

Description

You, like us, will be only too aware of the fast-developing situation with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. The safety and wellbeing of our attendees and staff is our priority and, with this in mind, we’re sorry to announce that the Women in Innovation: Building Success - North East event is postponed. We know that you value these face-to-face networking opportunities, however, we must follow the latest advice issued by the UK government.

A new provisional date has been set for 29th September and we hope you are still able to join us.

As part of Innovate UK’s Women in Innovation programme, KTN will be hosting the seventh Building Success event in Newcastle.

Take the opportunity to network with like-minded women, learn from experts and hear from successful female business owners at this exciting North East event. There will be a variety of practical workshops delivered by experts to accelerate your knowledge, and an Innovation Canvas* session that will help identify your particular innovation challenges and prioritise what actions you should take next. You will also have the chance to learn about, and interact with, national and regional support organisations that can help take your business to the next level. This event will also include a discussion lead by Jenny Tooth, CEO, UK Business Angels Association on "Investment Matters".

Female founders and women working within innovation from all industries are encouraged to attend.

More information and the agenda will be released in the upcoming weeks. Due to the popularity of our Business Success events, we advise you to register at your earliest convenience.

*Innovation Canvas
There are many problems that need to be solved on the way to a successful commercial innovation. We need a framework that poses the questions that a company must address to manage a process that is often tortuous and unpredictable. Borrowing from the model of the Business Model Canvas, KTN has developed an ‘Innovation Canvas’, which is divided into conversation blocks focused on the major issues that must be addressed in the innovation process. Join this workshop to apply your innovation and see which areas you need to focus on.

***Statement of Intent***

The Knowledge Transfer Network is committed to increasing diversity and advancing equality of opportunity to create a vibrant climate of inclusiveness across the sectors that we serve.

As a responsible business, it is important to us that we represent the diversity of our people and communities, and that we create an inclusive innovation ecosystem in the UK in which everyone can reach their full potential.

It is vital that we monitor and analyse diversity information so that we can ensure that our processes, events and communications are fair, transparent, promote equality of opportunity for all, and do not have an adverse impact on any particular group.

Your cooperation in providing us with accurate data will ensure that we design and apply policies and processes that embrace a diverse and inclusive environment.

Any information provided on registration will be treated as strictly confidential and will be used for statistical purposes only.

No information will be published or used in any way which allows any individual to be identified.
