Women in Law Scotland are delighted to invite you to their next networking event!
Join us to hear from two excellent speakers Emma Bell and Genoffir MacLeod, whose bio's can be viewed below, followed by drinks and networking kindly hosted by Brodies LLP. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to supporting Law Care, a charity that promotes and supports good mental health and wellbeing in the legal community.

Emma Bell
Emma Bell was a top ranked corporate lawyer for 17 years and then a Judge for 7 years. Alongside her legal career, Emma has been working with business leaders as a qualified personal development coach and facilitator for the past 16 years, and her first book, The True You was published in June 2016. Emma interviews thought leaders from around the world on her podcast, ‘The Inside Shift’, and her videos are shared with several thousand recipients globally every week.
Emma is passionate about enabling individuals to fulfil their personal potential and live a calmer, happier, more fulfilling life by harnessing their mental acuity, personal strengths and intrinsic passions. Emma has been described as ‘truly inspirational’ and ‘remarkable’ and her approach as ‘life-changing'.
Genoffir Macleod
Genoffir Macleod is an attorney with 25 years’ experience in private practice and in-house. She is Vice President and General Counsel of the c$9 billion Life Sciences Solutions Group of Thermo Fisher Scientific (ranked in top 150 in Fortune index, over $20b in revenue with 65,000 employees worldwide).
Genoffir is responsible for advising on a range of corporate, commercial, compliance and other general counsel matters and manages a team of 80+ legal, compliance, e-Commerce/digital and licensing practitioners. Genoffir also designed, implemented and now manages the Thermo Fisher Legal Operations function which deploys legal automation, e-Discovery and other best practice continuous improvement systems across Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Genoffir is currently based in California, but previously lived in Scotland. She has worked internationally on a project and assignment basis for most of her career.
Genoffir has an LLB hons in Law and Economics from University of Glasgow, Diploma in Legal Practice from University of Edinburgh and is an alumna of the Wharton Business School, Columbia Business Executive Education Program and Babson Executive Education Program.

A network for the Scottish legal profession aimed at lawyers and paralegals in private practice and in-house, irrespective of specialism or size of firm.
The main aims of the network are to promote gender equality in the Scottish legal profession and to create a forum for networking, sharing ideas and best practice. The network also hopes to create a platform to provide peer support and access to role models and mentors.
