Networking is the word we love to hate, but in a hyper-connected world we need to shake off the stigmas and recognise the value of building our connections.

Brought to you by University of the Arts London (UAL) and h Foundation, this free event aims to inspire and empower you to hone your networking skills.

KISS radio presenter Swarzy Macaly will kick off this evening with an inspiring talk about how she has used networking to progress her career .

This will be followed by a practical workshop led by Stef Sword Williams - founder of mentoring platform F*ck Being Humble. The workshop will delve into the best ways to nail physical and digital networking and build long lasting relationships.

How to prepare for maximum opportunities.
How to avoid coming across like a robot or self-indulgent.
How to follow up new leads effectively.
How to use your communication skills outside of networking contexts.

Less than 33% of the managers in the cultural industries are women. UAL's Women+ In Leadership programme aims to inspire and empower women+ to break through the glass ceiling and take up the leadership roles that they are equipped to do.

This event is being run in partnership with h Foundation, a registered charity with a mission to Inspire, Nurture and Showcase under-represented young talent and through its programmes help them gain unique opportunities and access to the creative industries.
