Purpose, Power & Presence Leadership Workshop for Women
- Presence & Increased Confidence for Greater Professional Impact and Results
‘Never be a second-rate version of someone else, be a first-rate version of yourself‘ ~Judy Garland
According to a recent PwC report, female millennials are more highly educational, have a higher level of career confidence and are entering the workplace in larger numbers than any of their previous generations - women are projected to account for upwards of 50 percent of the 75% of millennials making up the workforce by 2025. Organisations are increasingly focused on cracking the code of how to attract, develop, advance, and retain next generation women leaders.
Preparing for and positioning yourself for your next leadership role is essential. A key strategy lies in developing your executive presence. Being an effective manager or leader isn't a skill you're born with. It comes down to mindset, personal power and learned behaviours so can connect, deliver a presentation, command a room, influence and inspire respect. This requires presence.
You recognise the likes of Michelle Obama, Angela Mirkel, Beyonce, Christine Lagarde, Sheryl Sherburg, Alya Park Geunhye and Malala Yousafzai by what makes them stand out, their impact and how they have made a difference. They have a strong sense of identity, purpose, and personal power. They are a force to be reckoned with. And they all have presence.
'Connecting women to other women in their field is key to helping them advancing in their career and leadership"
Executive Presence is the ability to, on consistent basis, articulate who you are, your values and talents while influencing and connecting with others. It comes from being comfortable in your own skin, letting your natural talents, qualities and characteristics flow from an inner sense of wholeness. It is how we communicate our authentic and true self. It is how we overcome lack of belief in ourselves and counteract feelings of powerlessness.
"Presence gives us the power to RISE."
Yet many women encounter different challenges when developing in leadership and influence. They do not receive support in developing an effective presence and may find it heard to be heard or come across as effectively as they might. Many experience the ’invisible woman’ syndrome, the 'mansplaining' or the 'talk-over' when men only communicate with other men in the room - an issue from junior management level to board level!
In this highly interactive and practical workshop, Marcia Buxton an inspirational executive coach and leadership consultant, will help you to enhance your impact and presence by focusing on personal power, communication, mindset and authenticity. You will leave with a greater confidence and know-how in bringing your best and boldest self to your leadership and professional challenges.
Throughout the workshop we connect with you - and not just the 'concept' of your presence. As described by Amy Cuddy, we support you in how you can ‘bring your boldest self to your greatest challenges'. You will develop yourself with a bold enthusiasm driven by a desire to make a difference in your life, business, organisation, community and the world. You will come away with tools and new ways of thinking, being and doing - and with presence.

“Presence stems from believing in and trusting yourself—your real, honest feelings, values, and abilities. That’s important, because if you don’t trust yourself, how can others trust you? Whether we are talking in front of two people or five thousand, interviewing for a job, negotiating for a raise, or pitching a business idea to potential investors, speaking up for ourselves or speaking up for someone else, we all face daunting moments that must be met with poise if we want to feel good about ourselves and make progress in our lives. Presence gives us the power to rise to these moments."
