About this event
Persona Power: Surrendering the ‘I’
Rescheduled event - new date 14th September
In this workshop we will explore the work of wonderful women poets who have harnessed the power of persona in their poems. We will spend two hours ‘surrendering the ‘I’’ and playing with voice to see how close we can get to the ‘truth’ in our work. We will consider the theatrics of voice in poetry and ask: what is it we’re doing when we speak through our poems, and who are we speaking to?
