Description

Women in Politics: Becoming an MP

Have you considered getting involved in politics including standing as an MP but have not quite been able to take the plunge? Do you need more information but don't know where to get it? Or do you worry you don't have the skills but you still want to make a difference?

Come along to this workshop for women, to explore what it takes to become an MP, with Conservative MP for Eastleigh Mims Davies.

This workshop will look at how to begin your life in politics and Mims will share her story of how she got elected. Share what difference you would like to make, explore what barriers stop women from getting into politics and make an action plan for your own political journey.

Portcullis House can be reached from exit 4 of Westminster underground station. Airport style searches are in place at Portcullis House. Please leave plenty of time to pass through security. You should expect this to take at least 15 minutes. At busy times, which are unpredictable, the delay will be longer.

We are grateful to be supported by the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust.
