Event description

Description

WiR's sixth AGM will be held on the first day of the Dante Meeting at York.

Join us for the launch of the first ever research into diversity in British horseracing entitled “Women’s Representation and Diversity in the Horseracing Industry.”

The research has been funded by The Racing Foundation and carried out by the Centre for Diversity Policy Research and Practice at Oxford Brookes University in partnership with WiR. Professor Simonetta Manfredi, Professor of Equality and Diversity Management, will deliver the findings of this research to WiR members and guests in attendance. Kate Clayton-Hathway, PhD Researcher and Research Assistant at the Centre, as well as Sally Rowley-Williams, Founder and Honorary President of WiR will also support in presenting the findings.

Your ticket includes an entry badge to York Racecourse; use of a box in the Knavesmire stand with a racecourse view all day; tea and coffee in the morning followed by Pimms and a buffet lunch; and a cash bar and light bites on sale throughout the afternoon of high class racing action.

The event will commence with the AGM from 10.30am, followed by the launch of the Diversity Research with guest speakers, Pimms and a buffet lunch from 1pm and the first race at 2.10pm.
