Event description

Girls are less active than boys and by age 13 – 15, only 8% of girls meet the Chief Medical Officer’s recommendation that young people aged 5 – 18 should do 60 minutes of physical activity every day.

From our Girls Active (2017) research with the Youth Sport Trust we know that girls’ motivation, confidence and enjoyment of sport reduces during their teenage years and therefore, it is vital to tackle these issues to improve resilience during this time.

Take a closer look at some of Women in Sport's research on girls in this hour-long webinar on 25 February.

Women in Sport's research team will be taking you through some of the key findings, recommendations and insight from our recent puberty work.

At the end of the webinar, there will be a chance to ask questions about the research.

Attendees will receive access details and instructions on how to login to the webinar once they have purchased a ticket.

For more information or to ask questions about the webinar please contact florence@womeninsport.org

If you're interested in other topics in our webinar series then tickets to the sessions on older women and menopause are also available via Eventbrite.
