At Women In Tech Not Just Code we’re bringing a new type of community to you. Our launch event was a fantastic success, with so many great stories; experiences and ideas for everyone to share, regardless of your role.

Join us for our next networking event that includes a spotlight on the Business Analyst. We will be hosted by our first signatory The Telegraph's internal Women In Tech Not Just Code Network.

This event isn’t just for BA’s, everyone is welcome; there will be plenty of opportunities to meet like minded people.

Speakers

Dr Debra Paul, Managing Director of Assist Knowledge Development Ltd.

Debra co-authored several publications including, Business Analysis, Agile and Business Analysis, Business Analysis Techniques and Delivering Business Analysis. Debra is a regular speaker at business seminars and IS industry events. She has been a keynote presenter at business analysis conferences, was a founder member of the BA Manager Forum and was the chief architect of the BCS Advanced International Diploma in Business Analysis.

Brenda Duffy Lead Business Analyst, Close Brothers Bank

Brenda has worked as a Business Analyst for the past 17 years in a variety of organisations across Tech and Business Change both in Ireland and the UK. She has been in her current role in Close Brothers for almost 4 years and have recently been awarded the BCS Business Analyst of the Year. She is a passionate advocate for both the business analysis profession, and also for women in technology. She is married with two fur babies, a jackapoo called Grace and a moggy called Des.

About WITNJC

This is not just another women in tech network, we’re looking beyond STEM and coding. You do not have to be a developer or coder to join. You also don’t have to be female to be part of the community, everyone is welcome.

Very often the assumption is that you’re only working tech if you are coding. That’s why we’re different. Women in Tech Not Just Code celebrates every single person in a tech company or tech role.

Our Aims

• Build a support network for women working in technology, who are most likely not a developer
• Demonstrate a route into tech & see future career identities
• Showcase tech role models to encourage girls into tech careers
• Establish affiliated Women in Tech Not Just Code groups in other orgs & work with other networks

This event is for everyone who works in technology or the technology sector - whatever your pronouns, looking to share ideas, support each other and be inclusive - no man bashing here! We will tackle issues through plain speaking, honesty, no gimmicks or sound bytes, no fakery just reality and with real (role) models. Even if networking is not your thing, you’ll want to be part of a new community that’s here for you.
