Join us on Tuesday 10th October for a celebration of Ada Lovelace Day! At Sky Betting & Gaming we are passionate about raising awareness of the wide variety of roles available within technology and the various routes into these roles, so we have organised for 6 of our brilliant females in technology to discuss their backgrounds, routes into tech and what their current roles entail. Details of the session below:

Jayne Bulmer – Business Analyst – I am a Principal Business Analyst with nearly 20 years experience. Find out how I found my way into a tech career after leaving school without going into further education and not knowing what direction I wanted to take!

Jenny Farell - Site Reliability Engineer - I'm stubborn, nosey and always left my homework till the last possible minute. See how those turned out to be perfect skills for a career in the industry, and how I accidentally ended up with the current new trend job in the tech world as a Site Reliability Engineer.

Leanne Jagger - Software Engineer - I'm a software engineer with a relevant degree but I had always planned to work in science or medicine. Learn how I stumbled between different degrees to become a full stack engineer working on cutting edge serverless architecture that helps power skybet.com

Laura Rann - Project Manager - Ever wanted to break the mould and be a woman in tech? I did and today I manage infrastructure & security projects shaping one of Leeds best tech companies. I don’t have a degree or a tech background but I have passion and the desire to succeed – find out more about how I am building a career in tech!

Gina keith - Service Lifecycle Manager - having a passion for communication and collaboration, my degree in public relations lead me to a rewarding and challenging career in Technology. It’s not always about what you know, it’s about your ambition to adapt and learn.

Lesley Walkinshaw - Test Manager- With dreams of becoming a Research Scientist, I graduated Uni with a degree in Applied and Human Biology before landing a job working as a Lab Technician. I took an opportunity to sidestep into the Tech space, with no relevant education or experience, it was a challenge. Since the move I haven’t looked back and my career has gone from strength to strength. I now Manage a team of testers within one of the most forward thinking, innovative organisations to work for, we work with cutting edge Technology and get to be a part of an industry which is challenging, exciting and fun. Come and learn more about my journey so far and aslo what’s next!
