Women in Travel CIC and Arabian Travel Market are proud to launch the first ever group mentoring sessions taking place within the show. This year we have gathered some amazing women and like minded industry professionals to act as your mentors! We are offering group mentoring sessions on pre-agreed topics of relevance to today’s women in travel that you will be able to book in advance to access mentors sitting in small groups as well as fellow mentees. Topics may include: Entrepreneurship, Female Leadership, Work and Career, Personal and Professional Development.

Confirmed mentors include those highlighted before but others may be added as relevant. So do not miss the opportunity to access some exceptional professionals who can help you build your confidence and guide you through some important professional and personal issues!

CATHERINE RIDLEY FOUNDER SAMA SAMA HOLIDAY HOMES

Catherine Ridley is the Founder and CEO of Sama Sama Holiday Homes, a young start-up with a strong ambition to disrupt the Tourism Industry in Dubai. Their vision is to steadily diversify and modernise short term and holiday home accommodation in the UAE and across the MENA region. Catherine spotted an opportunity in the peer-to-peer accommodation sector here in Dubai and started Sama Sama in 2016. Since then the company has hosted over 1,000 guests from over 50 different countries in eleven areas across Dubai.

GENEVIEVE HATHAWAY FOUNDER ARCHAEOADVENTURES TOURS

Genevieve Hathaway is a photographer, videographer, and founder of ArchaeoAdventures Tours. She’s also a recovering archaeologist and Egyptologist. Her photography and videography work has taken her around the world working with a wide range of clients and projects including National Geographic Traveller India, Planeterra Foundation, G Adventures, EcoTraveller Guides, Outdoor Women’s Alliance and numerous non-profits. Her personal work focuses on telling the stories of women changemakers, the positive impact of ecotourism, and documenting cultures. Genevieve’s tour company, ArchaeoAdventures, is an adventure tour company focusing on the Middle East and North Africa. It economically empowers local women through good tourism jobs, while also connecting travelers with the local cultural through authentic, immersive experiences and adventures.

ASSIA RICCIO FOUNDER EVOLVIN' WOMEN

A passionate hospitality professional and founder of Evolvin' Women, a social enterprise that improves the employability of women from developing countries through the provision of necessary resources, networks, education and employment opportunities that would not be otherwise available to them. Evolvin’ Women is a member of the United Nations Global Compact and joined their task-force in the Middle East to support the 7 Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) and the UN Youth Ambassador Program working alongside the UN Women and the UN Global Compact UAE. For the last six years, Assia has been a guest speaker in numerous conferences on leadership and women's empowerment including the Women's Economic Empowerment Global Summit 2017 organised in the UAE by NAMA and UN WOMEN.

NADA BADRAN FOUNDER WANDER WITH NADA

Nada is a former strategy professional turned wanderer. She is the founder of a Dubai-based tour business called Wander With, offering cultural tours and educational adventures. Her tours are curated to encourage guests to live their holidays as locals, to see the city with a fresh perspective, and to embrace their host country’s culture. Her guests vary from culturally curious travelers to organizations with a keen interest in learning about Dubai’s successful business model. Nada is also a start-up enthusiast, and is a speaker on the strategies and relevant challenges facing aspiring businesses. She holds a Finance degree and an MBA from IE Business School in Spain.

CAROL HAY DIRECTOR OF MARKETING EUROPE, CARIBBEAN TOURISM ORGANISATION

Carol leads CTO’s team in the UK, as well as developing strategic partnerships with representation agencies in France, Holland, Spain, Italy and Germany. Her strengths lie in the areas of Strategic Marketing, Destination Branding and Market Development.

Carol holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing, Bachelors in Business Administration and is a trained Coach and Mentor. Carol sits on the World Travel Market (WTM) Advisory Council, The International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) Advisory Board and is a member of the UNWTO Panel of Tourism Experts.
