Women in Vision UK's Winter Meeting - part of the 'Staying Connected: Women in Vision UK Seminars' series

About this Event

Women in Vision UK (WVUK) are proud to present the second event in our online series - our winter meeting! Originally planned as an in-person event to be held in Birmingham this December, we have moved our annual meeting online and endeavoured to keep as many of the scheduled features as possible. The meeting will be spaced over two days with registrants able to attend on either or both days as/when they're able.

We are proud to announce that our keynote speaker will be Professor Alice Roberts - biological anthropologist, author, broadcaster, and Professor of Public Engagement in Science at the University of Birmingham. Professor Roberts' address will be titled 'Embryology and Eyes' will begin at 12pm on Friday 11th December.

Registration is free and is open until 6pm on Monday 7th December 2020. Upon registering for the event you will receive a confirmation of registration email from Eventbrite. The meeting will be held via a Zoom webinar format, and details of this will be circulated prior to the event.

Please note, by signing up to the event registrants give permission for their provided email address to be shared with the WVUK committee to allow contact regarding feedback and help ensure quality of future events.

This event is being coordinated by the WVUK Early Career Research Representatives; Bethany Higgins, and Samantha de Silva. Content for the event was based upon the schedule for the originally intended in-person conference being organised by Dr Lisa Hill, a member of Women in Vision UK.
