  • Would you like free professional development to enhance your career progression?

  • Are you a current or aspiring leader in education?

Whether you are newly qualified or a current educational leader, we would like to invite you to our local network launch for WLiEYH for Keighley and Craven. During this event, you will receive an inspirational and empowering key note speech from Professor Shirley Anne Tate, Professor of Race and Education at Carnegie School of Edcuation at Leeds Beckett University. There will also be a contextual talk outlining the local and regional issues facing women in our area.

Following this, there will be opportunity to experience a range of workshops on varying themes, from gendered workplace language and confidence, coaching, developing confidence and leadership skills. This event is also an opportunity to establish links for collaboration and sharing good practice with other like-minded leaders over lunch.

9.30am - Coffee and arrival (for 10.00am start)
10.00am - Welcome and introductions
10.10am - 11.00am - Key Note from Professor Shirley Anne Tate
11.00am - 11.30am - Contextual talk on local issues for women across our region
11.30am - 1.00pm - Break-out into workshops, covering coaching opportunities, leadership training, gener and worksplace language, LGBTQ biographies from women educators and many more…
1.00pm - 1.30pm - Networking lunch - collaborate, establish contacts and ‘digest’ the day (lunch provided)
