About this event

Health • Medical

This is an informal, supportive opportunity for women who are living with any neurological condition such as MS, Parkinsons, FND, MND, etc.

In our meetings we share questions and suggestions - things that we find helpful, things we want to undersatnd more about. It is a rare opportunity to speak with other women about life and what makes it easier and enables us to live it most fully. There is usually laughter, and sometimes a few tears...always in a safe and welcoming virtual space.

Please feel free to email me ahead if you have any questions or wish further information ahead of registering.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have my camera on?

You don't need to have your camera on, but previous experience says that most people will. Either way is fine.

What will we talk about?

I always start with a check in, how are you and what would you like us to have some time to talk about today? We share tips on resources/supports/information relating to living with our conditions. We try to keep a positive focus, and also to be a safe place to talk about how hard life can be.

How many women come along?

These sessions have been happening for a year now, there is a 'core group' of 5-6 regulars who attend, but they are open to any woman so it is hard to know too far ahead.

Who is in charge?

I am a professoinal facilitator, with MS - so I am there as a member of the group, but I also take responsibility for facilitating our conversation and maintaining safety in the group.
