Women Prepare For, and Thrive Through, Headship: Making Ethical Decisions, Applying for Headship, and Growing in Confidence

Leading Women’s Alliance and Carolyn Roberts, Headteacher and Chair of the Ethical Leadership Commision, welcome new and aspiring women headteachers to our day of ethical decision-making and making headship applications. This is an interative day facilitated by women headteachers who have experienced the moral maze of ethical leadership. We aim to build confidence in making difficult decisons as well as providing top tips on making applications.

The event is ideal for:

  • Women applying for headship or senior leadership posts
  • New headteachers in their first few years who would like support
  • Women considering headship at some point in the future
  • Women who want to be part of a women headteachers’ network

Sessions include

  • How to make successful applications for headship (with top tips)
  • An introduction to using the Framework for Ethical Leadership in Education
  • Facing difficult decision-making – not alone, but within a set of principles
  • Finding solutions to challenges through a range of practical strategies
  • Speed coaching to action-plan the next steps

Dancing and power-posing optional!
