It’s the end of 2016 – already – and we’re celebrating a busy year with a Christmas Women’s Enterprise Network event, complete with dinner and party hats (optional) at Cargills Restaurant in Blairgowrie.
Our guest speaker, originally from Scotland, started her business more than 10 years ago to fit in with her family commitments, and is now turning over more than £1m with a successful serviced apartments business in Sheffield and Leeds. More information to come.
Kate Cannon is an entrepreneur, wife, mother and St Johnstone fan – not necessarily in that order! On leaving Napier University with a Business Studies degree, she originally followed a path into retail management. She subsequently completed a post graduate diploma in IT which opened the door to a career in IT Project Management. Finding herself in Sheffield, with husband and young family, Kate set up KSpace Serviced Apartments in 2003. With expansion to Leeds, KSpace is a market leader and Kate attributes this success to hard work, determination, and making the most of her varied IT and customer-focused skills.
The event will start at 6pm with a welcome drink, sitting down at 6.30pm. A voluntary contribution towards the cost of dinner (suggested £10) can be made on the night. Soft drinks are included, and there will be the opportunity to buy wine.
Everyone is welcome – but booking is essential.
