Event description
WHEE 4 Wales aims to give everyone interested in women’s health and equality the opportunity to come together, to learn and collaborate

About this Event

FTWW is excited to invite you to the first-ever All-Wales Women’s Health Equality Event – WHEE 4 Wales!

Developed from conversations we've had with both women themselves and those delivering our health services, whether that be front-line personnel or Welsh Government officials, WHEE 4 Wales aims to give everyone interested in women’s health and equality the opportunity to come together, to learn and collaborate.

This event aims to open up positive conversations and develop constructive partnerships between women themselves, many of whom may be living with a range of often invisible health conditions, healthcare professionals, and policy-makers.

The event will reflect one of Wales’s key prudent healthcare principles, where both public and professionals are equal partners through co-production. The workshops in which you’ll participate at WHEE 4 Wales aim to positively empower both public and professional to participate equally in discussions so that, going forward, ‘what matters’ to women is put at the centre of decision-making, ensuring their future health and well-being.

The focus of WHEE 4 Wales is to share information, advice and learning for women and healthcare providers across the country. Workshops and presentations will look at topics as wide-ranging as unconscious bias, patient journeys, mental and physical health, practical tips, equality legislation, as well as sessions on those most commonly reported conditions with which women come to us for advice, including endometriosis, miscarriage and menopause.

The event will provide a fantastic opportunity for women affected by chronic, recurrent, invisible health issues to connect with one another, as well as for healthcare professionals and policy-makers to meet and talk with those women whose views and experiences they often say they find 'hard to access'. For all participants, we hope WHEE 4 Wales will provide a first step to working together to address health and equality issues at the earliest possible stage through mutual learning, collaboration, and support.

We look forward to seeing you there!
