A space to be in and with the feminine, a space for women of all ages and phase of life, of different experiences, backgrounds and ways of being.

Women’s Circles have existed and happened for centuries. They are about connecting - to each other and to ourselves, to cycles of life and the evolving self, a place where we share our wisdoms, our knowings and our ways of being. Women, men and everything outside and in between, are designed differently, so when we can gather in groups that have similarities or in some way we relate to, it brings wisdom and connection - not to divide but to make us stronger and then to be able to come back to our worlds and collective more whole - fully whole.

In many cultural and belief systems the Moon is known as feminine so we’ll look to her energy and themes - let her overlight the space and remind us of all parts of our cycles - the full, waning, quiet and waxing and ways to be in and with them all.

I aim to create a space where those who don’t want to speak in circle can still come and be, I feel this is a chance to be in space with other women - reminding us of our personal north stars, physiology and emotional make up of being a woman and how we work with it and for it. Many of us needing reminders and ways to look after ourselves, of how to keep on paths that help us move through life in a healthy whole way and move or be in our most aligned place. The sessions will include sitting in circle, breathwork and or guided meditations, mudras and or mantras, Oracle cards, as well as drumming, dancing, creating, being - all these ways to release and see what can’t always be put into words or logicised, to simply let the energy through these ways just move and be, finishing up with 30 minutes of tea and chat with each other.

I aim to create a space where people can come and try - explore in a safe non judgemental way - a chance to keep with your own practice and or beliefs, a chance to connect with others and share wisdoms that we inherently and intuitively know.

I have been part of women's circles since 2020 and on the year long Shamanic medicine wheel I was part of, we would come together in circle once a quarter in person and online every fortnight. I got used to being in circle, looking at all aspects of what was there for me, playfully and sometimes deeply as well as witnessing and or moving through that with others, sharing wisdom and experience. The learnings and connection went deep, far and wide and I still carry them with me today.

My Approach -

I won’t give you 'the answers', I will guide on practices that have landed with me and that I believe in, not pushing one particular belief, persuasion or religion but offering and allowing you to tune into your own knowing and what is truly for you. I aim to create space to just be … providing we’re being as open, graceful and compassionate to all in the space, knowing all is an expression of nature. I do believe we’re all here to be our truest expression and that can simply by being, being a good human being and doing our best towards or in true alignment. Let’s find our own way, starting where we are right now, at whatever age you are.

A few things to note;

  • Come with an open heart and mind, leaving judgement at the door - knowing all expressions are created for a reason - no worse or better, right or wrong
  • I ask for patience, compassion and respect when you step into the space … that anything shared stays in the space and is kept confidential. That judgment, comparison, cliques are left at the door.
  • In these divisive times I ask that these spaces try to be somewhere we connect and so for this time we’re together please leave topics where opinion can vary widely and create a charge in many, such as politics and what’s in the news
  • We’re not in competition - I like to be around women who want to raise each other up not pull each other down
  • Let's be respectful that we’ve all had hurdles and challenges to overcome - some are known, some are not - let's not judge somebody else’s outsides against our insides for we often know little of their true insides. Remembering at any one time there is always someone worse and better off than us all.
  • Whilst this is a circle for women to gather, please know this is NOT a space or place to dismiss or diss the masculine
  • A space where the quiet and reflective can be heard, felt and seen as much as the loud, talkative and articulate
  • The Moon reminds us we are emotional beings and so emotions do need time to be sat with and or find a way out, a healthy way, however these circles aren't therapy. We can stand with each other - share and be vulnerable, cry the tears and laugh the laughs, it's not about offering advice or solutions and more about 'walking' / sitting by each other's sides, and talking from our places of wisdom to and for one another and ourselves.

My life has taken many twists and turns - personally and work wise - work wise I have worked in Customer Services, Human Resources, a family business - a space where a shop, cafe, art gallery, creative and holistic workshops, music evenings were under one roof - teaching Art to children and most recently a Yoga Teacher including guiding Yoga Nidra.

What I feel is relevant experience to where I find myself now - where I begin to join the dots; interested and trained in personality tests and still exploring these, Myers Briggs and Human Design being my go-to’s (not trained to deliver these - had trainings to understand them more), Life Coach training, Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga Nidra Training and guiding, Menopause Yoga Teacher Training, going to and or working at numerous Spiritual retreats, gatherings and festivals, being a mature student on an Art Foundation course, taking part in a 12 month Shamanic Medicine Wheel with 8 other women, currently studying hypnotherapy, constantly healing - more these days letting go, releasing and clearing energy and learning to not take it too seriously where I can because I LOVE laughing, loving, dancing, drumming, singing and finding ways to express, be and release.

Common themes that run through all of these for me … is how do we come back to our truest self, so that we can be more wholly and fully aligned. Doing so through movement, understanding, expression, energetically, artistically, playfully and JOYFULLY. How do we be with it all? How to be with the joy the sadness, the laughter the tears, the anger the happiness, the sorrow the elation, the beautiful the ugly, the dark the light, the woeful the glowful, all of it part of being a human. I have run from some of these, embraced and tried to hold on to many, buried others and hidden much from the outside and of course made mistakes along the way. I now appreciate it really is ALL part of being human, that we can’t have one without the other. Not trying to bury or deny instead trying to find ways to move through all of this and hopefully thrive and be. I feel practices, retreats, circles and teachings I have been part of have given me great experiences to share with others in these spaces.
