Event description
Our much loved virtual shortlist festival is back! Join host Kate Mosse + our six shortlisted authors, plus a line-up of well-known actors.

About this event

Join Kate Mosse, our six shortlisted authors and a host of celebrated actors, including Gillian Anderson, Naomie Harris and Jason Isaacs, for three unmissable literary events. Featuring readings from the shortlisted novels, candid conversations and the opportunity to put your questions to the authors, this is the ultimate celebration of women's writing!

Hosted by bestselling author and Women's Prize Co-Founder Director Kate Mosse, each evening you’ll get to hear our six inspiring shortlisted authors delve into their writing journeys and get the chance to put your burning questions to them live.

Each shortlisted book has been paired with a world-class actor, who will perform an exclusive reading. This year's star-studded line-up includes Gillian Anderson fresh from series three of Sex Education, bringing Meg Mason's Sorrow and Bliss to life; Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs performing an extract from Ruth Ozeki's The Book of Form and Emptiness; Alex Kingston of ER and Doctor Who fame reading Elif Shafak's The Island of Missing Trees, Sherlock star Louise Brealey reading an extract from Maggie Shipstead's Great Circle, Irene Bedard, star of Westworld aand the voice of Disney's 1995 film Pocahontas, performing Louise Erdrich's The Sentence and Bond actress Naomie Harris reading from Lisa Allen-Agostini's The Bread the Devil Knead.

So gather your book-loving friends, stock up on snacks and settle in for three nights of inspiring book chat alongside readers from around the world…
