About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

We are delighted to be delivering the census for a fourth year. This year’s census will take place 22nd September - 28th September 2025.

As part of the census, we ask that services conduct the census survey with women who approach or use their service during census week. We also ask services to attend a census data meeting following the census, so we can develop a borough-wide picture of the number of women rough sleeping.

Who is this session for?

This session is designed for services interested in taking part in the census.

We ask for many different types of services to take part - if some of the women you support experience homelessness, it’s likely that some of them might be rough sleeping and can be included in the census. Your service might be a VAWG, health, drug and alcohol, migrant support service or a community group, or another type of support provider.

With lots of types of services involved, we can get a much more representative picture of what’s happening for women experiencing rough sleeping and homelessness.

Guidance is available to support services to plan their involvement and covers how to conduct the census in your service, who should be included, and why this census is needed. This online session will talk through the guidance.

The training will cover:

- Information about and background to the census

- Women’s homelessness and rough sleeping

- How to take part in census week: how to conduct the survey and who should be included

- How to contribute to the census data meeting
