In this eight week course we will explore states of change, uncertainty and metamorphosis. The workshops are open to all, and aim to facilitate new writing through prompts and discussion. By the end of the course you will be thinking about change in new and creative ways, and will feel more confident in developing your creative writing.
Week by week we will consider a different theme. Themes will include: 'Births and Re-Births', 'Changing Places', 'Loss, Grief and Mourning', 'The Changing City', 'Growing Older', 'The Ends of an Affair', 'Transformations and Metamorphoses' and 'New Beginnings.'
Each session will be split into three parts:
We will read and discuss texts together as a group
We will explore our own writing through structured creative writing activities
We will share work produced in the session
This is a great opportunity to come and write creatively in a supportive, nurturing environment. These workshops will focus on the experience of writing as a force for positive change, self-development and communion with one another.
