Wood carving plays a significant role in historic interiors, from decorative panelling, screens and plaques to staircases and fire surrounds, and much more. This one-day workshop delivered by Geoff Tulip of Tulip Woodcrafts will offer an introduction to the basic skills of wood carving, and you will get an opportunity to create a decorative motif to take home. Lunch, tea and coffee and all materials and PPE will be provided. The workshop is in a rural location off a laneway. This workshop is open to all, and no previous experience is necessary.

Places are limited to 10 attendees per session in order to maximise participant learning and safety. If you are no longer able to attend, please notify the organiser as soon as possible to allow your place to be released.

Important information for attendees:

This event is limited to a maximum of ten attendees at one time. Everything is provided but please wear warm clothing. PPE will be provided. The sessions are open to those aged 16 and over.

There is on-site parking at the studio. The studio is located off Saintfield Road, Carryduff, BT8 8BY.

Directions

At the main carryduff roundabout take the exit for Saintfield and continue for half a mile. You will see a layby on the left. At the end of the layby there is a lane on the left - Go up the lane as far as you can and park at the outbuildings.
