Description
This one and half hour workshop will be led by woodcut artist Alex Booker, introducing you to the art and techniques involved in woodblock printing, leaving you with your own Signal Flag and pattern prints to take home.
All materials, paper, inks and birch plywood blocks are provided, the pre-cut blocks will enable to print your own flag and pattern prints. You can take home any prints you create and if they're not dry by the end of the session, Alex will send them to you by first class post.
Tools and inks are also available to buy from the Booker Print House if you'd like to continue developing your newfound skills after the workshop.
Alex studied at Camberwell of Arts, from where he graduated with a Printmaking Masters in 2007, having previously a Fine Art Printmaking Undergraduate Degree in Brighton. Alex has hosted other workshops to date, highlights include Patternity's Pattern Power - Superstripe 2013, Matter's launch at London Design Festival 2015 and woodcut studio classes.
