🌿 Journey Through the Seasons with Sue & Sam! 🌿
Woodland Connection is a weekly outdoors session at the Wise Woods in Box, running on Wednesday mornings, from 10am to 12.30pm in school term time.
Take a deep breath, step into the magical Wise Woods Project in Box, and give yourself the gift of slowing down.
From autumn’s golden leaves to summer’s sunshine, we’ll guide you through gentle weekly rituals and creative activities that help you:
✨Notice and connect with nature in new ways
✨Follow your curiosity and play with creative expression
✨Deepen your connection to the seasons
The emphasis will be on curiosity, playfulness, and reflection, to give you confidence to prioritise yourself and confidently continue the practices in your everyday life.
Come journey through the seasons with us, supported by the wisdom of the woods.
Session Block 1 – Wednesday 1st October – Wednesday 15th October (3 sessions)
Themes - Welcoming in change and honoring harvest
Session Block 2 – Wednesday 5th November to 26th November, Wednesday 3rd to Wednesday 10th December (6 sessions)
Themes - Solstice and ‘wintering” – release and mystery
Session Block 3 – Wednesday 7th January 2026 to Wednesday 28th January 2026, Wednesday 4th February 2026 to Wednesday 11th February 2026 (6 sessions)
Themes - Deep rest, not knowing and Imbloc
Session Block 4 – Wednesday 25th February 2026, Wednesday 4th April 2026 to Wednesday 25th Paril 2026, Wednesday May 1st 2026 (6 sessions)
Themes - Sowing seeds, vision and hope, Ostara
Session Block 5 – Wednesday 15th May 2026 to Wednesday 29th May 2026, Wednesday 6th June 2026 to Wednesday 20th June 2026 (6 sessions)

These events are guided by two specialist and experienced facilitators:
Sue Judge - Wellbeing Lead, We Get It
With over 20 years of experience, Sue is a highly skilled naturopathic nutritional therapist(Dip CNM) and holistic wellbeing coach, holding advanced qualifications in nutrition and cancer from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION). She has also recently added to her holistic health expertise, qualifying in Ecotherapy and applied Ecopsychology.
Samantha Hickman - Art Psychotherapist
Samantha is a qualified Art Psychotherapist from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore (accredited by Goldsmiths University). She became an art therapist to combine her own creative practice with helping others.
In Singapore, Sam worked with a leading cancer charity as part of their psycho-social team. Since moving to the UK in 2019, she has worked with charities, local organizations, and in private practice, supporting individuals and groups with a wide range of challenges, including cancer, depression, stress, anxiety, anger, grief, loss, and trauma.
Specializing in adult therapy and supporting people living with cancer, Sam uses diverse art materials to explore the creative process in a welcoming, confidential, and non-judgmental space. Her work fosters insight, self-awareness, resilience, and new perspectives.
Note Sue and Samantha are both enhanced DBS checked and trauma informed. Both are also outdoor first aid trained
Maximum 12 people per session. Please arrive a few minutes before `10am to ensure you are settled with a drink when the session begins.
These sessions are fully funded and FREE TO ATTEND. if you wish to make a donation to cover the cost of attending, it is very welcome, and the opportunity to do so is included when ordering your tickets.
PLEASE NOTE:
We encourage lift sharing to get to the woodlands as there is a limited number of car spaces available inside and around the woodland space.
The site has steps leading up into the woods and compost toilets. There is cold running water only. Sensible shoes must be worn and a waterproof coat and trousers and thermal mug are recommended, plus warm layers including any blankets and cushions required for comfort. No dogs allowed. Personal rubbish to be taken off site by attendees.
The event organiser will supply journals to record activities but participants are welcome to bring their own.
