About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Other

Join us for a day of Woodland Management and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!

We will be pruning and crown lifting trees, as well as carrying out clearance works. These works will involve pruning dead or damaged branches, removing small lower branches from trees and cutting back or removing overgrown vegetation around paths. We are carrying out this work to maintain a healthy and sustainable woodland that supports local wildlife and the surrounding community.

All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. The tools we will be using for these activities are telescopic loppers and pruning saws, loppers, secateurs, pruning saws and shears. As these activities involve the use of sharp tools, this event is suitable for adults only. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day - you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary.
