About this event

Recently qualified in Forest Therapy, Forest School Leader: Gill Taylor invites you join her for a wellbeing session where we learn to connect or rather, reconnect with nature in a real, wild, woodland setting, just 3 miles from urban civilisation!

Being in nature is its own healing, which isn't rocket science really. I have witnessed the transformation of children & young people benefitting from access to this outdoor, natural woodland setting setting for 10 years; and access to nature in a wider context, locally in East lancashire, for 40 + years;

........now it's our turn as grown ups to play out!

Forest Therapy is influenced by Eastern philosophies which are essentially more wholistic than Western approches to stuff. King Charles said at COP 28 that we belong to the earth, and that indigenous peoples have a lot to teach our industrialised and tech obsessed West about the sacredness of the land.

He isn't wrong - and so these 4 hour sessions feature invitations to simple and reassuringly sceince-based mindful practices in a 36 acre mature, mixed woodland ; with campfires & art based creative & expessive activity to enable us to reconnect with nature, align our circadian rhytmns with ancient magic, and become centred and happy people!
