Join us for a day of exploring nature at Brickmakers Wood! This event is specially designed for Social Sciences and Humanities students to unwind and connect with nature. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of campus life and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings of the woodland.

Drawing from Forest School we will do nature based activities, crafts, woodwork, dens, ropes, fire and exploring. At chance to learn about and connect with nature. A time for reflection and learning about the Forest School Ethos and trying some new skills and build a community.

We will have a fire, and cook lunch over the fire. Lunch will be provided please ensure you declare any dietary requirements.

This is an initial pilot programme of two sessions, this is for the second session will on 1st July, (the first is 3rd June) try and join for both sessions if you can, or just one is fine. This is open to all students in the school of Social Sciences and Humanities.

We will meet at the University and do the short walk to the site, which is off Back Hamlet.

We will pack up at 1.30 and head back to the university or can go separate ways then.

We will be outside the entire time, so please dress appropriately for the weather, potential for rain, mud or sun!

You will need to bring: sun protection (wear sun cream), a bottle of water, suitable clothing (that you do not mind getting dirty).

This is a free event but you do need to book a space.

    See you there!
