WHAT INSPIRED THIS WORKSHOP .
During lockdown, I was struggling to be creative at home , so while walking my dog in the woods, I saw the natural canvas that mother nature had laid out on the forest floor. I had also been studying Buddhist meditation and had previously watched a video of Buddhist monks creating sand drawings , where they spend a long time creating beautiful patterns ,once finished they just blow the sand away to highlight the impermanence . The main part of my creative blockage was what I created felt like it had to be so perfect , so the Buddhist idea and the forest floor merged together with the idea of creating designs in the forest with no plan or pre conceived idea .While in the woods we will create then walk away leaving our designs to just be in the forest , where humans or animal can discover.
ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY
As the woodland setting inspires and fills you full of magical ideas - just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore new ways of caring for yourself. Don't miss this opportunity to unwind and recharge in the great outdoors

Frequently asked questions
Unfortunately, this venue is not accessible for those with mobility challenges due to uneaven ground within the woods , and although my working practice is to create designs on the ground , you are welcome to bring along a camping chair and work in that way or work standing up .
A drink, a snack if needed , kneeling mats will be provided , sturdy shoes for uneven ground , I find it’s quite warm once I get absorbed in the creative process , so I’d suggest wearing layers , and if your susceptible to bug bites long socks or bug spray ?
Yes pay and display is available around the park , and easily accessible by buses , very regular 25 service
None whatsoever , just a willingness to play
Yes photos on event page or go to my instagram page gabbabatik
Unless the weather is extreme storms I will cancel due to safety concerns, I have worked many times in the woods in heavy rain and the deep canopy of the woods keeps me dry , I would find a sutible spot in the woods to work in rain ?
As the workshop is for only 2 .5 hours , there is no break but your more than welcome to stop at any time for a break ?
There is a cafe in wild park with a toilet but no public toilets , while in the woods it’s a case of wild toileting behind a bush , toilet roll provided .?
