Event description

Description

A special chance to hear from artist Sarah Cook about her beautiful bronze sculpture piece, and from our Lead Ranger and Trees and Woodlands Adviser about the significance of Longshaw and Peak District woodlands for wildlife and climate change.

Sarah will talk about her work and the conceptual and practical processes that have led to the creation of the beautiful leaf sculpture. Rachel Bennett, Longshaw Lead Ranger, will talk about the Peak District Appeal and the important work the rangers are doing to grow and plant trees at 22 sites across the Peak District, from tacking ash dieback to planting up clough woodlands. Luke Barley, Trees and Woodlands Adviser, will talk about tree planting and woodland management across the UK.
