🌙 About the Event
Join us for a magical evening walk through Worcester’s riverside and historic heart, as we explore the city’s thriving bat population. Starting at The Hive, we’ll follow a circular route along the River Severn, past Worcester Cathedral, then back towards Sabrina Bridge, using bat detectors to listen for Pipistrelles, Daubenton’s, and even the rare Lesser Horseshoe bats.
Learn about local bat conservation efforts, including the cathedral’s hidden colony and the city’s “dark corridor” lighting scheme designed to protect nocturnal wildlife.
This step-free route covers just under 2 miles and is suitable for all ages. We’ll meet in the lobby of The Hive and return there at the end of the walk.
