In 2016 I road-tested my first Classic Car. I drove around most of the Worcestershire county boundary. Now I invite you to bring your own classic car and join this fun drive with me and repeat the 165mile adventure, while we raise funds for a Multiple Sclerosis Charity. If your car can go 10 miles it can go 1000 . Its what they were built for.
The "WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY BOUNDARY CLASSIC CAR TOUR" is actually more like a 'Rolling Classic Car Show' )
This is a full, one day, 165 mile 'leisure' drive taking us as closely as practical around the entire County Boundary of Worcestershire. The route aims to...
- raise money for a Multiple Sclerosis charity
- have a great fun day out.
- avoid, where possible, big fast roads.
We will be driving through 'hidden England's' country roads, lanes, over tall hills & through attractive villlages, with pedestrians, cyclists, horses, cattle & sheep to watch-out for!
I suggest you have a NAVIGATOR. The navigator does not need to know the area or have any experience. As long as they can read they'll be able to navigate following the short pre-start breifing. If you need a navigator let me (Mark O'Neill) know so I can find one for you.
THERE IS NOTHING COMPETITIVE ABOUT THIS EVENT.
It's about seeing the fabulous views & smelling the flowers
THIS ISA NON-PROFIT EVENT.
My tours are for fun and charity fund raising. Everything is done on a tight budget to raise the maximum support for the designated charity.
I ask you for a MINIMUM DONATION of £35 (on the day) to help me cover my set up costs and raise funds to support the Multiple Sclerosis charity.
So, what do you get for your donation?
A ROUTE PACK, including
- a printed `'TULIP' turn by turn' route book.
- A tiny tiny miniscule pencil
- A neat little 'self-cling' WCBCCTour Window Sticker
- Information about Multiple Sclerosis
- a not very posh key ring
- A delicious breakfast bun & hot beverage
- I might even include a coveted "Classic Car Charity Tours" window sticker
If you've not used a TULIP route book before, WORRY NOT! They are really easy to follow. Instructions are given at the start of every event I organise. Also, a sample in in the pictures of this event page
The day starts at 8am with Registration, Donations and issue of your "Route Pack".
8:45am is the time of the "Safety Breifing" and'Route Book 'explanation'.
9am sees us moving off along the route. We should all be away by 9:20am.
There are planned stops along the route, so rests and refreshment can be taken, at your own cost.
You should complete the tour by around 4pm and be ready for a cuppa, beer , wine and maybe a meal (might need to prebook a table). I've never had more than 40 classic cars on my tours. Wouldn't it be nice to break the record!!!
I guarantee you will have made some amazing new freinds by the end of the day, and will have some really funny stories to share. Especially, if you get lost along the way! (most of us do at some point).
If you enjoy driving your car, love the countryside & fancy taking part in this "Rolling Classic Car Show" as it swirls it's way around some fantastic hidden English countryside. Then come and join our happy throng of barmy 'regulars'. and be prepared to "Smilalot".
