From Gatsby’s clinking cocktails to the frozen plains of Frankenstein, join Spit the Pips for an afternoon of literary delights on the theme of ice, selected to refresh perspective, spark reflection and invigorate conversation. Expect some chilled shared reading, prompts to thaw discussion and a smattering of creative sensory surprise. All curious readers welcome; just bring yourself and your love of literature.

Spit the Pips is run by Dr Anna Ball and Dr Daniel Cordle, who are both freelance writers, creatives and literary educators.

We aim for our workshops to be as accessible and inclusive as possible. Note that some of the workshop will involve reading provided text, and will include the opportunity to read and speak aloud. We will include a break half-way through.

We encourage you to let us know how we can tailor the workshop to your particular preferences and needs.
