Afrikult. presents the three-part event series Words that Travel which aims to showcase the wonderful and rich diversity within the African literary genre. Running throughout 2016, each event focuses on particular mediums and traditions of African literature with the first featuring African poetry.
Join us on Saturday 23 January 2016 with Words that Travel: African Poetry. The all day event will be held at SOAS, University of London in the Khalili Lecture Theatre (KLT) and the Junior Common Room (JCR).

Publishers’ Market & African Food Court (12pm – 5pm, held in the JCR)
Performances including Belinda Zhawi and Inua Ellams (Doors open at 4pm, held in the KLT)
Screening of the first Ethiopian film entry at the Cannes Film Festival (2015): LAMB (directed by Yared Zeleke) (Doors open at 7pm, held in the KLT)
