This development opportunity in creative facilitation will introduce you to bibliotherapy in two parts.
Choosing Reading Material for different groups and individuals. With Maureen Sangster. This workshop will encourage you to consider factors that affect choice and will also discuss approaches to giving groups/individuals the valued opportunity to read and respond to literature. Sample texts will be discussed.
Facilitating an Expressive Writing Group. With Jayne Wilding.This workshop will encourage you to explore the things you need to be aware of when you facilitate a writing group. We will look at some of the potential surprises and challenges that can happen when you facilitate a group.

Maureen Sangster is a poet/writer/artist and sessional adult education tutor. Her most recent publication with Sheena Berry was Circle Line: Converstations about Fife railway stations and their communities. She exhibited in Bodies, a visual art exhibition looking at body image and confidence by J. Kelly & M. Sangster, as part of Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival 2015. She has delivered bibliotherapy in health and community settings. She currently runs therapeutic workshops inspired by fairy tales.
Jayne Wilding is a poet and teaches yoga for health. She leads expressive writing, journaling and life story workshops in the Maggie's Cancer Care Centres in Fife and Dundee. Publications include Sky blue notebook from the Pyrenees and In the Moon's Pantry.
