Wordsworth, Byron and Wartime Sacrifice

Join Phillip Shaw, Professor of Romantic Studies at the University of Leicester, for a talk which discusses poetry by Wordsworth and Byron written in the aftermath of the Battle of Waterloo and explores some broader questions about war and the ethics of representation in British Romantic poetry. A wine reception will take place at 6.30pm, with the talk commencing at 7pm. In partnership with the Byron Society.
