Interns Programmes with the Green Economics Institute 2025

INSPIRATION, INNOVATION, IMPLEMENTATION

Our programmes are offered on a rolling basis. We are especially keen to have participants

to help with our events and summer schools this year and this may mean that we can provide scholarships to help students attend the prestigious conferences we run if students help us organise and help us host them- for which they will receive accreditation and a certificate.

There are a variety of programmes and locations during 2025. You may be able to discuss with us which one is most suited to you and your interests and budget.

The programmes begin with one in in April 2025 in Borneo and the other programmes are in the UK in 2025 from May 29th to December 2025. Plus in Belem Brazil in November at the United Nations and Madrid in June at the UN, and Bonn Germany in June 2025. Students and people on work experience may be invited to some of these in person or on line. (We cannot offer costs on these particular items.)

Our programmes have been running for 21 years at our Green Economics Insitute a Not for Profit, A Think Tank, an NGO of the United Nations and a research NGO of the United Nations together and we offer unparalleled work experience, publishing and writing, editing opportunities, and commissionin, speaking, coordinating, web and digital skills, and most importantly networking and research at the highest level with some of the most exciting people on the planet. Together with opportunities on our programmes for helping plan and run events of all kinds, plus

Lecturing, and academic reviewing, managing, and website work, social media, and video making and editing and planning, and many more creative activities.

Joining our lovely international team of change makers and innovators to help with all sorts of our activities and support the team in its work.

Our work is also pioneering in the academic interdisciplinary field- and multi disciplinary space. Our teams are wonderfully diverse and people say we walk the talk-its taken as a given and its nurtured. We have zero tolerance for bullying harrasment etc.


The current opportunities

We are looking for people who would like to help with the following activities:

a)campaigns and project management please email to ask about your favourite subject areas.

b) conferences planning management and hosting

c) marketing and social media

d) books, magazines writing collation editing reviewing and academic journals publishing admin and project management

e) education ,teaching education lecturing and administration and management and record keeping and registry and summer school managing and helping set up our masters and phd and post graduate courses on line and in person

f) management of videos and our on line tv

g) archiving our first 21 years for posterity

h) editing or management writing collating our members magazine, our annual reports and many other publications

i) growing our members network and managing our members network and services

j) fund raising and grant applications and running our eu projects

k) running our campaigns which are really exciting -high level -eg our United Nations projects on climate change and biodiversity and also our feminist- intersectionality and food and farming and health and mental health projects-poverty, equality, inclusion, economics, finance etc we need project managers and administrators

l) data developments and administration of our global network and its growth and development

m) annual reports writing etc

n) conference programme management and speaker archive creation

o) partnerships development and sponsorship development

p) running our exhibition stands which we run all over the world throughout the year.

q) We have formal Summer Schools in Borneo -for which there is a charge for registration

We also have formal Summer Schools in Oxford in September 1-7 and Oxford 20th -26th October 2025 for which there is a charge for registration unless you become part of the organising and hosting team.

Its team members usually have a multi mode background, often cross border, and always firmly rooted in the real world.Its include practitioners, scientists, academics, business people, and supply chain experts, mapping the downturn in human destruction of nature, the economy and the environment and are well placed to suggest a recovery path, both in terms of human health and also the environment and nature.

Its Publishing House GEIBooks, has over 100 titles in print, and each one provides a global network of people and voices advocating a message and campaign for change towards a more benevolent and beneficial world. The Green Economics Institute has a TV station, an academic journal, a members’ magazine, a specialist climate science organisation, a Charity and a Conference Making organisation. The Institute has world class speakers speaking often in parliaments and Universities around Europe, Nobel prize winners, national business award winners and others, professors, students, farmers, business people.

It has its own large delegations to the United Nations Climate Talks UNFCCC. which include exhibition stands and climate events and is an official Research Organisation of the United Nations. Its work is used around the world by governments, kings, princes, global institutions, businesses, students, philosophers, economists and many more.

It runs courses at all levels for qualifications, including field trips, summer schools, youth in action, Erasmus, short courses long courses, post doc supervision, and lectures in many European Universities and many others. It also runs regular conferences to support its campaigns and to encourage debate and progress both on line and mainly in Oxford and around Europe. It runs regular exhibition stands, publishing and giving speeches and hosting conferences in most countries in Europe
