IN-PERSON EVENT

Are you studying history or a related subject and in years 10-13 at school? Are you considering a career in heritage? Would you like to study a heritage subject at university? Then you may like to join us for our one day work experience session.

The day is based around a number of practical sessions in order to gain experience of working as a conservator, digitising documents and the role of an archivist. you will get a chance to catalogue documents, work with original material, make packaging materials and have a go at cleaning one of our documents.

Due to the hands-on nature of the event spaces are limited.

All in-person events have been subject to a COVID risk assessment. If you are visiting the Norfolk Record Office we ask that you please take note of the following:

• Please consider wearing a facemask if encouraged to do so by staff

• Use hand sanitizer on entering the building/room

• Do not attend an event if you have any COVID-19 symptoms

In return we will do the following:

• Provide facemasks for anyone without one

• Clean touch points before the session starts

• Open the windows in the room to allow for good air circulation

In-person events will only run depending on the current government guidelines at the time. Please check the website in case of cancellations or amendments.
