Description

Ever thought about expanding your career opportunities through networking?

Have you ever heard of LinkedIn?

Sometimes it’s not what you know but who you know’ Many jobs, are never advertised, which makes networking a vitally important tool for any jobseeker. This session aims to help you think about your USP (Unique Selling Points) and how to introduce yourself; and be prepared for a brief encounter with a contact. This session will also extend the concept of networking into the online world of LinkedIn and give you a number of key tips to make the most of your LinkedIn space.

'LinkedIn is the largest professional networking site available today. LinkedIn provides a way to connect with other professionals and helps you stay in contact with millions of users. LinkedIn is strictly used for exchanging knowledge, ideas, and employment opportunities and has increasingly become a leading tool for helping individuals expand their networks as well as find jobs in their field. - Penny Loretto - The Balance, 2017.

If you want to learn how you can improve and manage your professional Identity, come and join us in Adelphi Building TVI Lecture Theatre on Wednesday Feburary 7th from 2-3pm.

The session is delivered by UCLan Careers specifically for TESOL.
