In this workshop, lawyers from De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek will help entrepreneurs learn how to take a legal perspective on their business

About this Event

In this workshop, lawyers from De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek will help entrepreneurs learn how to take a legal perspective on their businesses. Sophie Rasing and Janiek Meppelink (two of the firm's candidate civil law notaries) and Max Lamb (an international lawyer from the firm with previous startup work experience) will walk through what it means to take a legal perspective on a business, and why this is important for supporting sustainable growth of an early-stage startup.

In this regard they will describe how thoughtful legal planning both paves the way for smoothly scaling up, and manages possible risks before they emerge. They will also introduce some basic legal topics that entrepreneurs are likely to encounter, including legal forms of companies, commercial contracts, shareholders' agreements, and intellectual property.

About our Workbench series

Our monthly Workbench series of workshops, which takes place every first Thursday of the month, is for impact entrepreneurs who want to take their start-up to the next level. Each Workbench tackles one of six regularly rotating topics: legal advice, marketing & sales, finance & funding, organisational culture & structure, sustainable operations, and impact measurement.

Tickets are free for Impact Hub members. For non-members, individual sessions are €30 each.
