Workers’ Rights through Brexit & Beyond
Mon 27 March 2017, 12:15 – 14:30 BST
Changing working patterns – increasing part-time and self-employment and the rise of the gig economy – coupled with rapid technological advancements in digitisation and robotics, would be destabilising enough without Brexit. The impact of a “hard Brexit” will be felt by all workers and employers in years to come, both in terms of the economic pressures it will bring, and in as yet uncertain changes to employment rights.
With this is mind we are pleased to welcome Hilary Benn MP and Frances O'Grady for an ‘In Conversation with’ event on how Brexit will affect the workforce in Britain. The discussion will bring together employers in the public, private and third sectors with trade unionists, policy-makers and academics to discuss how we achieve this.
