About this event

This event brings together speakers from various brands to share their professional experience. The panel will discuss their lived experiences in the sector. They will talk about the skills you need to succeed in this industry, the current challenges they are facing and future innovations, and they will offer advice on getting into the industry and how you should position your international education when coming back to the region. Each panel member will speak for a short time to outline their career and will then be asked to comment on key discussion themes listed above. You will also be able to submit questions to the panel before and during the event.

Panellists include:

  • Tim Hung - Assistant Vice President, Brands, Shangri-La. Tim Hung is Assistant Vice President, Media and Social at Shangri-La Group. He leads the newly established department in transforming the digital marketing capabilities of the hospitality group post-pandemic. Prior to this role, he was Head of Brands for the company, delivering a holistic global brand architecture. He led the global branding campaign “From Asia with Heart” in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Shangri-La. Previously Tim was Brand Director and Head of Media at P&G for its Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. He is a graduate of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
  • Aileen (Qian) Hu - Brand Manager, Coca-Cola. Since graduating from LSE Global Media and Communications Program, Aileen joined The Coca-Cola Company as a management trainee in marketing. After two year's trainee programs in different functions (brand, creative, and franchise operation), she started her first official role in the company as the assistant brand manager for Minute Maid brand for one and half year and captained two national brand campaigns. From the end of 2021 until now, Aileen was promoted as the brand manager for Coca-Cola and extended her scope of work in new product launch and global project.
  • Bozhi (Lily) Wang, Brand Director, Safeguard, Greater China, Procter & Gamble (P&G). Lily graduated from LSE in 2013 with MSc International Management. She joined P&G in 2014 with assignments as Senior Brand Manager for Digital and e-commerce, Greater China; Senior Brand Manager for the 'Head and Shoulders' brand, Greater China; and now as Brand Director for Safeguard, Greater China.
