Event description

Description

Working in schools can be a rewarding way of using your creative skills. But where do you start? We're working with KEAP to bring you this workshop which will cover all you need you know. The session is designed for creative practitioners who would like to learn about how to run workshops in schools. It will include:

  • Best practice and case studies
  • Guide to types of schools and how to reach them
  • Safeguarding
  • Funding possibilities
  • Session planning
  • Networking

KEAP is the Kernow Education Arts Partnership. They have a long track record of working in schools across the arts. Most recently they have developed The Writers’ Block – a space created by artists and dedicated to supporting creative writing of both children and adults.

The workshop will be run by Amanda Harris, the director of KEAP; Helen Reynolds, the development manager for KEAP; and Alessandra Ausenda. Alessandra is a very experienced freelance visual artist and one half of Tough Dough CIC who initiate, design and deliver creative arts projects, events and happenings in Cornwall.
