What is it like to work in different sectors? What skills do you require? What are the benefits and challenges of working in a specific sector? In this series of webinars individuals with a broad range of experience will share their career journeys with you and provide you insights into a range of different potential employment routes. Presenters will share their thoughts on how best to develop your career within these sectors and share their tips on how to develop your career. Within each workshop there will be plenty of time to ask questions – come prepared and ready to ask to find out more.
Working in: Third Sector with Catriona Henderson
Catriona started her career working within the nuclear industry – initially as a research chemist before transitioning to roles focussed on managing communications. For the past 15 years she has been working in the 3rd sector – initially in a communication role. She now works as a project manager in the 3rd sector focussing on managing grant making processes (primarily managing Scottish Government funding) and working with other 3rd sector organisations to develop their capacity to deliver impactful interventions.
