About this event

Security work means protecting property, goods, money, individuals and communities. Some organisations, such as certain shops, banks, local authorities and airports, employ their own staff; others hire security firms. Entry requirements vary, but having the right personal qualities is very important for all jobs.

In this webinar, we will cover:

• An overview of the security industry

• Job market information on security work in the West Midlands region - who employs security staff, pay levels and where security operatives work

• The full range of job roles including security officers/guards, CCTV operators, cyber security work, door supervisors and also higher- level careers for those who want to progress within the industry, or those who enter with university level qualifications

• The licences required to work in security and how to find the training you need to gain them

• Where to find job vacancies

• The personal qualities and skills required

All webinars are delivered via Microsoft Teams.
