Sharon Malcom is the founding manager of Puddleducks Day Nursery, an award winning service located at the heart of Belfast City Centre. The nursery is a successful social enterprise project of Belfast Central Mission, which is one of Northern Ireland's oldest charities. Sharon pioneered the Puddleducks Approach to learning within this early years setting, which has attracted widespread recognition within the sector over the last eleven years. Sharon is an active and trusted voice on topics of Childcare and Early Years Development in Northern Ireland.

Here in the city we are seeing more and more parents returning to hybrid working models after periods of home working. Parents tell us all the time about the challenges they face in managing their daily routines, and many are becoming increasingly aware of how we spend our precious time with our children.

This short 30 minute lunchtime session will highlight some ideas for you as parents brought about by our development of the ‘Puddleducks Approach’ to care and learning. It will give you some practical suggestions to help build positive attachments between you as parent and your child.
