Working Scientifically in Primary Science - Children leading the learning

At the end of the day:

  • You will be able to demonstrate increased knowledge of progression in scientific enquiry and implement a wide range of strategies for planning, resourcing and organising enquiry.
  • You will recognise the different types of enquiry children engage in when exploring the world around them.
  • You will feel more confident in including children's own ideas in to your lessons.

Louise Clements is a Specialist Leader of Education with Learning Unlimited TSA, a Y6 Teacher, Science Subject Leader, and has taught at at St Wilfrid's school for 17 years.

Louise was the first Science Teacher Leader recruited in the North of England and was responsible for the planning and delivery of the termly Science Subject Leader Briefings through STEM learning partnerships. Louise also leads science specific CPD through STEM learning and alongside the Sheffield Institute of Education.
