Event description
An introduction to neurodiversity, covering key concepts and simple support strategies. Suitable for all.

About this Event

This webinar is an introduction to neurodiversity which covers key concepts and simple support strategies.

Suitable for all employers and employees within any industry.

Neurodiversity is the concept that neurological differences should be both recognised and respected, in the same way as any other human variation.

These differences include those labelled with Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (better known as ADHD or ADD), Dyscalculia, Autistic Spectrum (including Asperger’s) and Tourette’s Syndrome.

I will present these concepts and strategies in four distinct parts:

1. What is Neurodiversity?

2. Types of Neurodivergence

3. Working when Neurodivergent and

4. Supporting Neurodiversity at Work

There will be a short Q&A at the end of this session, and I welcome any and all questions which you may have on this topic.

Feedback from previous webinar for the British Library:

The presentation was fantastic and I think it was really lovely having so much time to go over questions from colleagues. It was so informative and helpful, and I’m sure lots of the attendees (including myself) will feel really supported and empowered to receive the support they need thanks to your time! It’s really nice to see things like this begin to pop up more and more at the BL.

Thank you for this, really, really helpful, especially the reminder/confirmation, that what will help, helps us all, so the methods and approaches to inclusivity don't need to be seen as targeted, so much as best practice.
