Working Therapeutically with Stones

Talking therapy usually involves a lot of, well, talking. However sometimes words alone are not enough. Encouraging clients to use objects such as stones can help open a range of themes.

With stones, clients can literally show a therapist what they are speaking about, how they are feeling and give more context, more depth.

This workshop will provide you with the tools needed to use stones with your clients. It will include two demonstrations, one for in person stonework and another for online stonework.

At the end of the workshop, you will be provided with a digital tool to use for online stonework.

This workshop is online via Zoom.

The Facilitator

This workshops is facilitated by Tom, founder of New Horizon Counselling Ltd. Tom is a Therapist, Supervisor, Writer and Teacher based online. He has been working in private practice since 2018.

Tom has been working therapeutically with stones for the past 7 years after being introduced to the technique during a bereavement charity placement. When Tom moved his work online he started to use an online tool to help facilitate stone work without physical stones.
