About this Event

Join this Autumn’s Working Together Event for a look at the impact we’re making in the local area. You’ll meet other Parkinson’s UK volunteers and staff to share ideas, successes and questions.

Outline Agenda

10.30 Arrival with tea and coffee

Time to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

10.55 Welcome and ‘housekeeping’ for the day (Abi White, Area Development Manager at Parkinson's UK)

11.00 Making an impact together (Charlotte Jackson, Deputy Direction of Communications at Parkinson's UK)

Hear from a member of the senior leadership team about the impact we’ve made together over the past 5 years to find the cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s, and how the 2020-2024 strategy is shaping up

11.25 Comfort break and stretch

11.35 Your questions answered

Your chance to ask any questions following on from the opening session. We’ll be sure to take notes, so anything that can’t be answered on the day will be fed to the relevant Parkinson’s UK team to be answered.

12:30 Get it on Time Campaign (Rosie Brown)

We know it's crucial that patients with Parkinson's get their medication on time but still more than 50% of people say that still isn't happening. Our new Get it on Time volunteer, Rosie Brown, will talk to us about our recent survey results, our petition and her plans locally in hospitals with Get it on Time.

12:50 Lunch

13:50 Communications and Social Media (Aisling Green, Digital Marketing Manager at Parkinson's UK)

A discussion on how we all currently communicate with our local group members and how we engage with our wider audience in the local area. Aisling will present on how the digital team plan to support local groups with social media in 2020.

14.15 Comfort break and stretch

14.25 Thinking it through together: time to reflect and look to the future (Abi White, Local Area Development Manager at Parkinson's UK)
