Event description

Description

BHR CEPN, BHR CCGs and UCLPartners are working together to bring you an important half-day event to scope out the opportunities and challenges, as well as solutions, to the demand and supply issues facing primary care, and general practice in particular.

There is widespread acceptance that increasing population sizes, as well as ageing populations, will deliver significant increases in volume and complexities of demand on local health and care resources, across BHR.

At the same time, we have an ageing workforce, challenges in attraction, recruitment and retention, and significant education & training supply-line issues.

Combined, these demand and supply issues present an imperative requirement on all local health and care providers and employers to come together to identify collaborative responses - it is no longer sufficient to assume we can bridge the gap between demand and supply in isolation.

Working Together - New Models of Care, New Ways of Thinking provides health and care leaders and practitioners with the opportunity to come together to:

  • Understand the challenges, for ourselves, and our populations
  • Explore examples of best practice and innovation - locally and nationally
  • Identify what we need to do, individually and collectively, to maximise emerging opportunities
